Catch the Vision Tours

Upcoming Tour: March 13-14, 2017

Thank you for your interest in being part of the NW Vision tour in Portland and for your willingness to explore partnering with Northwest Baptist and Send Portland planters by joining God’s work of pushing back darkness. You are an answer to prayer as we pray Luke 10:2 for the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into the harvest field in the Portland-Vancouver area* and along the Columbia River Gorge.

Purpose: To provide an experience for church leaders to visit planters and places in the Portland/Vancouver area so they can first hand encounter what ministry is like in various cultures and contexts that leads them to advance their Acts 1:8 strategy.

Desired Results for Potential Partner Churches: Vision tours are a great way for existing churches to expand their Acts 1:8 strategy by partnering with a church planter who needs partners in the harvest - building bridges in his community to reach the lost with the gospel. Tours lead to partnerships that allow church members to be exposed to and engage unreached peoples and become an encouragement to planters, families and new churches.

Desired Results for Potential Church Planters: Potential church planters are exposed to the various contexts and cultures that help identify people and places that need new churches. They encounter existing planters to discover the realities, challenges and rewards of planting new churches.

Costs: Your accommodations in Portland, plus your transportation to/from Portland are your responsibility. Event registration, meals and transportation are covered by the Cooperative Program.
